Where Odysseys begin
Every odyssey has a beginning — an idea that becomes a plan that becomes an adventure. The proposed Student Life and Technology Center will be the place where Hendrix students begin educational Odysseys that become a passion, that become a life. It will also be the prime meridian where students gather to share ideas, practice leadership, master technology, and foster friendships. The Center will stand out as a symbol of engaged learning on the Hendrix campus.

Where Students Connect
In addition to housing the Odyssey program — including a center for the coordination of undergraduate research, internships, study abroad programs, and service learning — the 80,000-square-foot, two-story Student Life and Technology Center will provide space for:
- Offices for Student Affairs, Academic Advising and Academic Support Services
- Offices for student organizations and student media
- A religious life center
- Conference rooms and seminar rooms
- Dining hall, café, game room, and post office
Educational Technology Center
A distinguishing feature will be the Educational Technology Center, open 24/7. It will weave state-of-the-art teaching, learning and social technology into the fabric of student life, providing centralized resources for collegial, collaborative learning experiences, such as:
- Computer workstations with large flat panel displays to facilitate group projects
- Individual computer desks with widescreen monitors
- Software for creating presentations and videos
- A video conference room linking students and faculty with their peers around the world for coursework and Odysseys
- A model classroom with the most current instructional and presentation technology for students and faculty members
